Whidbey Island, Oak Harbor
a long weekend
8/15/19 to 8/17/19
After a mere 2-1/2 hour drive from Vancouver,
Handsome and I met up with my brother and sister in law.
It’s so important to visit face to face, don’t you think?
Emails and phones just don’t always make the grade.
Panoramic views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca, San Juan Islands, and the Olympic Mountains were breath taking.
Thank you B & L for sharing your HomeToGo. (Photo by brother)
Listening and sharing family memories reminds us of who we are.
Bubble diagrams are a great way of recalling events.
My thrifted true summer jacket was the right color and style, nevertheless I fancified it.
Hand sewn fringe followed the seam lines. The collar was covered with net and silk flower fragments. The jacket’s German fabric was so dense, I barely managed to hand sew the trim to the jacket’s strong stitches.
The theme turned out to be very cowgirlish, however finding me doing most of my work on horseback will never happen.
