Last Sunday on November 24th, Handsome and I took a short Sky Train ride to Commercial Drive in East Van. A neighbourhood known for housing Hollywood North, our movie industry folks and the historic Italian community
surprise us on every corner of THE DRIVE.
Here I am at the entrance of story.of.things, my new favorite shop for drooling over curated vintage and contemporary design was tucked into a warehouse with mega wabi-sabi appeal.
A chance stroll down an alley led to their shop.
The owner greeted me with, “You are a breath of fresh air.”
Southern hospitality was never sweeter.

Basically, I ripped the sleeves off the arms, hand sewing them to the back. Tuxedo tales are always welcome in my world.
Changing the buttons to a collection of mismatched ones brings more humor to the garment.
Notice the latest Zappos treasured addition to my shoe collection.
“Where did you get those boots???” shouted 2 women on Commercial Drive.
Why do so many of us have a love affair with foot apparel? Anyway, I am in lust with these Le’Artiste cranberry/grey hand painted embossed hoofers.
Comfort and charm make a great team. I could sell these, yawl.
